As a child, like so many others, I fell in love with the Indiana Jones films and catwoman in Batman Returns. So when I was 10 years old I saved up and bought my first whip from a catalog and learned to crack a whip. It wasn’t until many years later after having gone to art school at the Savannah College of Art and Design and trying to pursue a career as an artist that I stumbled upon my childhood passion and decided, screw art! I am going to learn how to make whips.

My favorite part of my job is bringing that child like smile to peoples faces when they get their custom made whip. Every time I make one I obsess over the details, sometimes redoing things several times until it’s right. I think of them not as just a whip but a living thing that comes to life in the hands of its user.

I make my whips with the same techniques that the old masters used to ensure heirloom quality. All my whips are made from the finest leathers and materials. I guarantee my whips will last the rest of your life. If they break I will repair them free of charge.

How to order

1. Take a look at my products.
2. Decide the type of whip or whips you would like to purchase.
3. Email contact@smokymountainwhips.com to discuss details and additional customizations.
4. Make a $100 deposit (if necessary); I may not ask for it on smaller whips.
5. Wait approx. 6-8 months, then when I’m ready to make it I’ll ask for the remaining balance.
6. Your whip/whips delivered!

All whips are added to the que in the order they are received and it may take less or more time depending on how busy I am. I know it’s not fun waiting but I promise it will be worth it.

Shipping will be calculated. All whips come with a spare fall, 3 extra crackers and some of my snake oil leather conditioner. Orders over $350 come with a free whip bag!
